Our philosophy

"Any poodle, regardless of color, that exhibits exemplary health, temperament and conformation deserves a venue in which to be validated."

Our Objectives

"Multicolored" is an umbrella term that encompasses all colors and color patterns (solids, partis, phantoms, sables, abstracts and multipatterned) found in Poodles. The MCPCA advocates for, and is preeminently focused on the conformation, temperament and health of all poodles but we do so without any discrimination towards the various colors and patterns found in poodles and are striving to see this same philosophy become more widely accepted.

Our Successes

To date we have attained the following goals:

bulletFebruary 2002 - the MCPCA, an aspiring not-for-profit organization was formed
bulletAugust 24th, 2002 - we held our first conformation specialty match in Jarrettsville, MD
bulletAugust 2004 - we were the catalyst for the UKC's acceptance of parti, phantom, sable, abstract and multipatterned poodles
bulletSeptember 18th, 2004 - we cosponsored our second conformation match and our first obedience match with the UPBA (United Poodle Breeds Association) at Crabapple Downs, Colebrook, NH
bulletDecember 2004 - we wrote the color standards that the UKC utilizes
bulletMay 5th, 2005 - we became a licensed UKC conformation club
bulletOctober 2nd, 2005 - we held our first multi-breed UKC conformation show
bulletMarch 2nd, 2006 - we launched our website - which is now: www.mcpcaonline.info
bulletJune 17th, 2006 - we held our first UKC sanctioned specialty at the UKC's 13th Annual Premier in Kalamazoo, MI

All MCPCA activities and goals are governed by our desire to continually promote the poodle breed through positive means that are in accordance with the rules and regulations of the UKC. Please check the News & Activities tab for updates.
